Centre Hospitalier de Fontaine Foundation
Centre Hospitalier de Fontaine is a private nonprofit hospital (CHF) started by Mr. Jose Ulysse in 1991. CHF is located in the commune of Cité-Soleil, Haiti. For over 30 years, CHF has been self-funded by Gheriane Kareen. The hospital was funded by the Ulysses family, who invested up to 40% of their profits. This unsustainable funding model resulted in the death of Mr. Ulysses' mother, who had CHF and passed away due to oxygen deficiency.
Shelle Gelin
